After a lifetime of waiting, a feline finally gets to enjoy the luxury of living inside with her little one.
The heartwarming story of Remille the cat and Hardy the kitten takes place on a remote farm near Montreal, Canada. When the family who owned the farm started finding abandoned cats on their property, they took them in and did their best to care for them. However, as more and more cats appeared, it became clear that they could no longer provide adequate care for all of them. Some of the cats were sick or injured, having been involved in fights. In a desperate plea for help, the family reached out to animal rescuers for assistance. Julie, an animal lover and skilled rescuer, stepped up to the challenge and went to work. Among the cats she found was one with a cloudy eye and matted fur, whom she later named Remille. She also discovered a tiny kitten whom she named Hardy. Julie took both Remille and Hardy under her wing, providing them with the love and care they needed to thrive. Thanks to her tireless efforts, Remille’s cloudy eye was treated, and her matted fur was groomed. Meanwhile, Hardy grew into a healthy kitten. Today, Remille and Hardy are both happy and healthy, living their best lives thanks to the kindness of animal rescuers like Julie and the generosity of people who donate to organizations like Chatons Orphelins Montréal.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal was able to effectively rescue all the cats and kittens thanks to Julie’s efforts and the use of humane traps. During the rescue, it was discovered that several of the cats were pregnant, including the one with the cloudy eye. To ensure their safety and well-being, all of the cats received medical attention before being transferred to foster care. One particular cat, named Remille due to her long hair and cloudy eye, was found to be severely underweight at just 1.3 kg, and in need of significant care.
Once Remille was brought inside, she quickly became more loving and affectionate. Her coat was matted and tangled, but after a grooming session, she felt like a whole new cat and began purring with joy. Despite an ulcer on her cornea and a positive test for FIV, Remille was still eager for attention and affection. Within just a few days, she had gained a significant amount of weight and her charming personality shone through.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal’s Celine revealed that the tabby girl they were fostering had gotten stronger after getting some rest. She also shared that the cat had developed a massive appetite and loved being petted. The foster mom showered her with attention, and she started enjoying life again. Sadly, the cat went into labor one evening, and only one kitten, Hardy, survived out of the four she gave birth to. Even though they tried their best to save all the kittens, the other three were exceptionally tiny.

Remille, a 10-month-old feline, is grateful for the assistance in raising her kitten, Hardy, as she is still relatively young. She takes on the responsibility of keeping him tidy and instructing him in the art of playtime.
The Montreal Orphan Kittens organization has a new addition to their indoor family who has been a delightful presence. This cute feline is full of energy and love, chasing after feather toys and spending time with her fellow kitten friends. In addition to playtime, she enjoys getting cozy with her human companions, showing affection through cuddles and soft chirps. Her charming personality has brought a beam of sunshine to their household.
Remille is currently training her kitten to become a full-fledged cat. Hardy, the little kitty, is getting more adventurous by the day as he learns to groom himself and play by mimicking his mother. Remille takes the time to teach her tabby son everything he needs to know during the day, and at night, she allows him to comfort-nurse on her.
