Actress and philanthropist Angelina Jolie, along with her eldest son Maddox, graced the White House on April 26 for a party attended by US President Joe Biden and Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. People reported that the 47-year-old celebrity looked stunning in a white dress and a timeless Chanel jacket, complemented by striking gold jewelry. Maddox, on the other hand, donned an equally elegant long black suit and tie.
The White House recently hosted a dinner to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the US-Korea alliance, which was attended by approximately 200 notable guests, including leaders, senior officials, and celebrities. Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox were among the attendees, as they have strong ties to the region, particularly Korea. Maddox previously studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, while Angelina has visited the country numerous times for humanitarian work and artistic pursuits. A source close to Jolie revealed that both she and her son felt privileged to be part of the State Banquet, given the importance of the Asia-US relationship to their family.
Angelina Jolie’s son Maddox, who was adopted from Cambodia, began studying at Yonsei University in Seoul in August 2019. Jolie accompanied her son to Korea to enroll and check out the dormitory before the Covid-19 pandemic hit and forced Maddox to return to the US to continue his studies online. Maddox has kept a low profile in public over the years. Jolie is also a mother to five other children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, including Vietnamese adopted son Pax Thien, Ethiopian adopted daughter Zahara, biological daughter Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. The children currently reside with Jolie in Los Angeles, California following their parents’ divorce in 2016.
